An ALDEN GROUP L.L.C. COMPANY Referees The United States Basketball Association (USBA) uses the same rules as the National Basketball Association (NBA). The USBA will modify all fines to the level of single A minor league basketball. The Referee or Official has the greatest responsibility before, during and after the game. The goals are to enforce the rules and maintain the order of the game. USBA basketball Referees will be required to carry on the tradition of fairness, integrity and accountability. We believe, if the President of the United States is attending the game he and the Secret Service are under the authority of the Referee until the book at the scorers table is signed and the Stripes have left the building.
