"What is the United States Basketball Association" The United States Basketball Association (USBA) was founded in April 2007 as a minor division single "A" professional basketball league that plays a mid spring to mid early summer schedule. The USBA is comprised of the Southeastern Conference which houses 18 teams in three divisions. Each team plays a thirty game schedule that will include fifteen home games and fifteen away games. The season is complete with a mid season All Star game and a championship playoff series at seasons end. The USBA was created to provide players, coaches and referees a venue to present themselves and their skills to other leagues in the United States, leagues in the International community, coaches, scouts and sports agents in an attempt to advance their careers in professional basketball and to have the possibility to be selected to attend the National Basketball Association summer leagues and camps or to be presented with an opportunity to play on a International team. Each team in the USBA will maintain a professional commitment to teach and develop not only the basketball talents of it's player, coaches and referees, as well as their life skills. The goal of the USBA is to help players prepare themselves for life after they ended the pursuit of their basketball careers. The United States Basketball Association will offer each of their team communities an opportunity to compete against other cities within their region. Each USBA basketball team will provide each family the opportunity to see professional basketball games that will feature fun filled family oriented entertainment at an affordable price in a faith based atmosphere. The USBA will offer gainful employment opportunities to citizens in each of it's team cities. The USBA will provide jobs to anyone regardless of age, gender or physical abilities and with strict adherence's with all other rights expressed under equal employment opportunities. The jobs created by the USBA will positively effect each geographical area with tremendous economic growth. The USBA and it's teams offer an impact that will improve the quality of life for the citizens in each respected community. The United States Basketball Association is professional basketball, career development, community involvement, economic development, educational enhancement coupled with faith based family entertainment. The USBA primary purpose is to emphasize on the successful integration of cultural participation, economic empowerment and fundamental athletic achievement. |
